The range-leading Discovery 4 HSE offers premium luxury and premium practicality. In European markets there is a choice of two superb diesel engines engines, both now featuring an 8 speed Drive Select automatic transmission with PaddleShift. In other world markets the flexible 2.7 litre diesel is available with a 6 speed automatic transmission. There is also a powerful V8 petrol engine with 6 speed automatic transmission.

3.0 TDV6 DIESEL AUTOMATIC 155KW (211PS) 3.0 LITRE V6 TURBOCHARGED AND INTERCOOLED DIESEL ENGINE WITH EIGHT-SPEED AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

There are significant new developments to Discovery 4’s powertrain with the availability, in European markets, of Low-Flow injection on the 155kW (211PS) LR-TDV6 with 8 speed Drive Select transmission with PaddleShift which is able to achieve sub 225g/km CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy.

The higher powered LR-SDV6 Advanced Sequential Turbo Diesel is also available with the 8 speed Drive Select transmission with PaddleShift, and has an increased power output of 188kW (256PS)and CO2 emissions which have been reduced to 230g/km.
